The article describes the shifting condition of migrants and refugees in Greece in the wake of the financial crisis and the "long summer of migration". It focuses in particular on the transformations of the European border regime and its implications for Greece. Against the background of these transformations the article engages in an analysis of the main forms of struggle and resistance deployed by migrants focusing in particular on the experience of the occupation of the City Plaza Hotel in Athens since 2016.
