Daraio and Simar (2003) propose a full nonparametric methodology using conditional FDH and order-m frontiers to explain efficiency differentials. Their method, overcoming most limitations of previous approaches, leaved open the optimal bandwidth selection. In this paper we carry out further analysis. In particular, the performance of the Sheather and Jones (1991) procedure is investigated. The paper introduces also a conditional DEA estimator to bring in external factors into a DEA framework.

Abstract
Daraio and Simar (2003) propose a full nonparametric methodology using conditional FDH and order-m frontiers to explain efficiency differentials. Their method, overcoming most limitations of previous approaches, leaved open the optimal bandwidth selection. In this paper we carry out further analysis. In particular, the performance of the Sheather and Jones (1991) procedure is investigated. The paper introduces also a conditional DEA estimator to bring in external factors into a DEA framework.File in questo prodotto:
