Storia della Lettera aperta a un predicatore di don Lorenzo Milani. Con l’edizione di quattro nuovi testimoni

The article deals with the Lettera aperta a un predicatore, an open letter written by don Lorenzo Milani, first published in 1952 in the Dominican journal Vita Cristiana and then reissued – six years later – in Milani’s monograph Esperienze Pastorali. This research reconstructs the history of this text and analyses the reasons that brought about its composition. Furthermore, it proposes a new edition of four private letters of the author concerning his article. The text of the Lettera aperta’s first edition (1952) and the scans of the newly edited letters’ manuscripts are published in the appendix.
