Abstract
the IV century but certainly toward the end of the V century, presents the problem of the early Christian cathedral and two resulting questions regarding the city’s Christian origins: from wich period does the building date and where it was constructed? Integration of all available data, along with analysis of the topographic context in which the bishop’s basilica arose, have led to the hypothetical reconstruction of the forma urbis of Pistoia in the late classical period and the High Middle Ages. The thorough comparison of all the elements available has made it possible to formulate a series of useful questions and hypotheses in order to better understand the Christian origins of PistoiaI documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
