Using vibrational (Fourier transform IR and Raman) spectroscopy, ascorbic acid/dimethyl- and diethylsulfoxide solutions have been studied. Noticeable changes obwerved in the range of S=O-groups vibrations can be explained by the presence of hydrogen bond between ascorbic acid and sulfoxides. Based on spectral analysis data, various types of ascorbic acid/sulfoxide hydrogen-bonded complexes were revealed. As the results of studies show, the ascorbic acid/dimethylsulfoxide system has predominantly complexes of one type whereas the ascorbic acid/diethylsulfoxide system can contain complexes of three types.

Abstract
Using vibrational (Fourier transform IR and Raman) spectroscopy, ascorbic acid/dimethyl- and diethylsulfoxide solutions have been studied. Noticeable changes obwerved in the range of S=O-groups vibrations can be explained by the presence of hydrogen bond between ascorbic acid and sulfoxides. Based on spectral analysis data, various types of ascorbic acid/sulfoxide hydrogen-bonded complexes were revealed. As the results of studies show, the ascorbic acid/dimethylsulfoxide system has predominantly complexes of one type whereas the ascorbic acid/diethylsulfoxide system can contain complexes of three types.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
