The second of two fanciful etymologies of τραυλός, ‘lisping’, ‘stammering’, recorded by ‘Zonar.’ 1740 Tittm. and absent from other lexica, can be restored as τε(ι)ρ-αυλός, ‘with damaged voice’, if τείρω is read instead of ἀγείρω.
