In the criminal trial of the modern age women tended to be accused of crimes related to the sexual sphere, such as unwanted pregnancies or gabellate for ailments and still hidden in order not to lose the good name, but also the illegal parties, and even deletions more or less heinous of newborn or its concealment. The richness and continuity of the archival of the Bologna Court of Torrone has allowed to document the presence of women also with regard to the most heinous crimes such as femicide and patricide.
