On the 15th July 2015, the draft EU Directive on the diffusion and protection of the Passenger Name Record (PNR) data of people flying to or from the EU, and its use by Member States and Europol to fight terrorism and serious transnational crime, was approved by the Civil Liberties Committee (LIBE) at the European Parliament.
