The essay focuses on the main issues concerning the representation of “landscape” in Andrea Zanzotto’s opus, according to a “geo-literary” perspective attentive to the relationships between geo-historical circumstances, philosophical and aesthetic reflections, choices of style and content. After having identified the main landscape realities lyrically represented by Zanzotto, belonging to the north-west of Treviso, in the Veneto region (the Prealpi and Valmareno, the hills between Vittorio Veneto and Valdobbiadene, the plain of Pieve di Soligo and neighboring villages, the Montello upland), the article demonstrates how in the verses they lend themselves to a meta-poetic interpretation, however remaining deeply characterized not only from the toponymical point of view, but also from the cultural and geo-historical one.

Abstract
The essay focuses on the main issues concerning the representation of “landscape” in Andrea Zanzotto’s opus, according to a “geo-literary” perspective attentive to the relationships between geo-historical circumstances, philosophical and aesthetic reflections, choices of style and content. After having identified the main landscape realities lyrically represented by Zanzotto, belonging to the north-west of Treviso, in the Veneto region (the Prealpi and Valmareno, the hills between Vittorio Veneto and Valdobbiadene, the plain of Pieve di Soligo and neighboring villages, the Montello upland), the article demonstrates how in the verses they lend themselves to a meta-poetic interpretation, however remaining deeply characterized not only from the toponymical point of view, but also from the cultural and geo-historical one.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
