Intralymphatic histiocytosis represents a rare benign disorder. This condition is more common in women and the elderly. It is typified histopathologically by the presence of CD68-positive intraluminal histiocytes. Clinically, intralymphatic histiocytosis presents with erythematous plaques, sometimes with livedo- like qualities, as well as papules, nodules and vesicles. In the literature, there are four cases describing an association with a metal prosthesis. Our case is the fifth case that emphasizes this combination but is noteworthy for the presence of a multinodular appearance that is probably because of the large nodular intralymphatic collection of histiocytes.

Abstract
Intralymphatic histiocytosis represents a rare benign disorder. This condition is more common in women and the elderly. It is typified histopathologically by the presence of CD68-positive intraluminal histiocytes. Clinically, intralymphatic histiocytosis presents with erythematous plaques, sometimes with livedo- like qualities, as well as papules, nodules and vesicles. In the literature, there are four cases describing an association with a metal prosthesis. Our case is the fifth case that emphasizes this combination but is noteworthy for the presence of a multinodular appearance that is probably because of the large nodular intralymphatic collection of histiocytes.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
