The Bologna lawyers in the early modern age and the apprenticeship led to masters, carefully chosen on the basis of the aspirations of candidates and their families, are the heart of this contribution. The text will study the various strategies put in place to achieve the professional position desired: from the choice of the institution to acquire academic degrees, to the selection of possible protectors, until the places and people charged to follow the young graduate within the delicate phase of his apprenticeship.
