The 2017 winter issue can be considered a theme one, proposing reflections on very specific subjects and case studies. In fact, Almatourism, with the support of the European Association of the Vie Francigene, publishes seven essays and seven articles and reports devoted to the historical sources of the European Pilgrimage of Romei and Francigeni, relevant to the so called Romee Routes, to the pilgrimages and to the European and Italian shrines.
