The article introduces a special issue of "South Atlantic Quarterly" dedicated to the centennary of the Russian Revolution, edited by Hardt and Mezzadra. The relevance of the October Revolution in the history of the 20th century is discussed here at the same time in which such important questions as the ones at stake in Marxist debates surrounding revolution, the state, and revolution are tested from the angle of their meaning for the next future.
