Saggio di un dizionario dialettale della campagna modenese

This dictionary is the result of field-research made during a period of five years in the northern Italian countryside between Bologna and Modena (San Cesario sul Panaro). The research got involved 42 informers, using qualitative methods of observation/conversation. Apart from the dialectal lexicon, the dictionary recorded also expressions in the local standard language (Italian), proverbs, and idiomatic expressions. In the introduction the main linguistic features of the studied dialect are collected and compared to other northern Italian vernacular languages.
