La conversación telefónica monolingüe, su futuro inmediato y su representación en ámbito judicial-policial

Monolingual telephone conversation, its future and representation in the judicial-police field Mª Jesús González Rodríguez DIT – University of Bologna – Forlì Campus This paper starts with a general introduction to monolingual telephone interaction based on the studies carried out on this topic from the point of view of conversation and of intercultural studies, through a selection of some of the main authors. After such presentation, and after having identified the main features of telephone conversation, the latter will be defined in its main categories, with a special focus on the judicial-police sectors and with a view at interesting features for telephone interpreting. A few intercultural aspects will be presented as possible implications and, finally, proposals for the analysis of police telephone interaction will be made.
