The lexical field of adjectives indicating health and illness in Ancient Hebrew reveals the existence of some marginal lexemes inserted in the positive and negative pole. This study analyses the classes, the dimensions and the changes of usage of adjectives šmn , dšn and bry’ (indicating good health) within the analysed lexical field1 in the corpora of ancient Hebrew2. In the positive pole, only the lexeme šlm has the simple distinctive feature of "healthy" tout court. This research also makes use of ancient versions: Targumim, LXX and Vulgate in order to establish, with good occurrences, some first levels of understanding of the analysed lexemes
