"Two Soul" is Federico Gardella's contemporary music piece commissioned by the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino. It is a pioneering project aimed to bridge an ancient form of Japanese art and the western music tradition, using the ending part of "Nishikigi," one of masterpieces by Zeami Motokiyo (1363-1443), the greatest playwright and theorist of the Japanese Noh theater. This is the first Italian translation made from the original text written in medieval Japanese.
