The article, a review of Timothy C. Campbell's "Wireless Writing in the Age of Marconi" (Minneapolis, MN: University of Minnesota Press, 2006), focuses on the interdisciplinary work of the author, whose study encompasses scholarly fields such as media studies – including radio history and theory, and the realm of technological innovation – and literary studies. It also aims at pointing out how different media and different disciplines need to mix, cooperate and engage with each other, as interpretive models of complexity, that is, how studies at the intersection of disciplinary approaches demand hybridization and mutual reshaping. The review illustrates the book's theoretical background and examines eminent figures conncted with Guglielmo Marconi's "wireless" world and its components (the Marconigram, the Marconista, and "Marconigrafia"), in this case three icons of literary modernism: Gabriele D’Annunzio, Tommaso Marinetti and Ezra Pound.
