Abstract
The last two chapters of the Yasna inevitably assume a strategic position in the standard and solemn Avestan liturgies: if from the strictly philological point of view they present a number of varieties (not registered by Geldner), which deserve a particular care in a new editorial presentation of the text, ch. 71 and ch. 72 contain some interesting references to cosmological and millenarian concepts worthy of a special focus as well. This is, for instance, the case of Frašaōstra, whose role in the further development of Zoroastrian eschatology as father of Huuōuuī, Zoroaster’s third wife, is not generally emphasized, or that of the theological and ritual pertinence to be attributed to the final disposition, exactly in Y. 72, 10, of the sequence Vərəθraγna, Rāman, Vaiiu, Θβāsha xvaδāta, Zruuan Akarana, Zruuan darəγō.xvaδāta.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
