The present paper deals with a research project currently being undertaken at the Faculty of Education, University of Bologna, in collaboration with François Pachet from SONY-Computer Science Laboratory, in Paris. Our project collects and develops experiments about music education and the Interactive Reflexive Musical Systems. The IRMS are systems in which the user, whatever his competences’ level, is confronted with a kind of developing mirror of him/herself. This paper will present the Continuator (a particular kind of IRMS), and the main results of the Diamuse project.
