The aim of this paper is to show the role that some colonial legacies played in the emergence and development of the Peruvian armed conflict (1978 and 2000). In particular, we take a historical, philosophical and anthropological journey that, clarifies the history of ideas and colonial imaginary and can contribute to elucidate the role of some symbolic categories as the process of dehumanization and degradation of indigenous and autochthone peoples which in conjunction with political, social and especially territorial organization imposed by conquerors in the continent, had a decisive role both in the emergence and development of this conflict.

Abstract
The aim of this paper is to show the role that some colonial legacies played in the emergence and development of the Peruvian armed conflict (1978 and 2000). In particular, we take a historical, philosophical and anthropological journey that, clarifies the history of ideas and colonial imaginary and can contribute to elucidate the role of some symbolic categories as the process of dehumanization and degradation of indigenous and autochthone peoples which in conjunction with political, social and especially territorial organization imposed by conquerors in the continent, had a decisive role both in the emergence and development of this conflict.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
