A numerical analysis of 2D free convection in a square cavity bounded by isothermal walls, filled with a porous medium and heated by a circular isoflux surface is performed. A numerical solution of the dimensionless balance equations, written by utilizing the streamfunction-temperature formulation, is obtained by invoking the validity of the Darcy law as well as of the Boussinesq approximation.
