Los procesos de movilización dados recientemente en Bolivia transformaron su sistema político hasta crear la Nueva Constitución (2009) y con ella, un "Estado Unitario Social de Derecho Plurinacional Comunitario". Lo ocurrido en Bolivia puede asimilarse como un momento en que la nación crea al Estado, este país pasa de ser una sola nación ha reconocerse como un territorio de "naciones originarias". Este artículo analiza los retos y las encrucijadas del Estado boliviano para garantizar el establecimiento de una nación plurinacional, democrática, productiva, pacifista, comprometida con el desarrollo integral y la libre determinación de los pueblos.
