Work-life balance is a relevant issue in organizational behavior literature for the significant consequences that work and life interaction has on employees’ organizational attitudes and performance. Traditionally, work-life interaction has been analyzed through role conflict perspective that defines work and life as two spheres of an individual’s life that are mutually exclusive. Recently, relying on role enrichment perspective, scholars have begun to consider the synergistic relation that may result from work and family interaction and the benefits for individuals and organizations. This book includes two empirical researches, illustrating the major theoretical perspectives and the two dominant views in work-life research: work-family conflict and work-family enrichment.

Abstract
Work-life balance is a relevant issue in organizational behavior literature for the significant consequences that work and life interaction has on employees’ organizational attitudes and performance. Traditionally, work-life interaction has been analyzed through role conflict perspective that defines work and life as two spheres of an individual’s life that are mutually exclusive. Recently, relying on role enrichment perspective, scholars have begun to consider the synergistic relation that may result from work and family interaction and the benefits for individuals and organizations. This book includes two empirical researches, illustrating the major theoretical perspectives and the two dominant views in work-life research: work-family conflict and work-family enrichment.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
