The excavations at Kiš, carried out between 1923 and 1933 by the joint Anglo-American Expedition of the University of Oxford and the Field Museum of Chicago, brought to light a tremendous amount of objects as well as settlement phases on a wide chronological range. The investigations revealed the 3rd millennium BC as the most flourishing period of the site, a datum confirmed by the results obtained especially at Tell Ingharra. The aim of the study is to propose a new reconstruction of the archaeological sequence and to understand the urban and architectural layouts on Tell Ingharra during the Early Dynastic period, focusing on the Y sounding where the best sequence of this period was unearthed. In order to achieve this purpose new data have been brought analyzing the unpublished documentation and materials kept in the Ashmolean Museum of Oxford and Field Museum of Chicago.
