During the last few years, the use of GIS in archaeology grew up. New important excavations, in Piazza Kennedy, with the discovery of the 5th c. church of S. Agnese, and other small sample in the city center, add a fundamental collection of archaeological data. The building of new chronological evaluation map are also able to show empty research zone of the old city, where urban archaology of Ravenna is moving with new excavation and archaeological evaluation projects.
