Giampiero Neri e la contaminazione della poesia

The work of the Italian contemporary poet Giampiero Neri has interesting affiliations with the Italian and European poetry and literature that focused on natural scientific observations in the 19th and 20th centuries. Taking into account the transformation observed by the poet himself, this essay begins by retracing references from science and then proceeds to investigate the rhetorical resources of irony and the genre of comedy. The latter two can often convey a compensation of a logical-argumentative approach and of an overdrawn objectiveness.

L’opera del poeta contemporaneo Giampiero Neri presenta alcune interessanti filiazioni con la poesia e la letteratura d’argomento scientifico dell’Ottocento e del Novecento italiano e straniero. Riflettendo sulle trasformazioni operate dal poeta, il saggio ripercorre le funzioni dei richiami alla scienza, a cui giungono in rapporto compensativo contro il rischio di un eccesso d’oggettività e rigore logico-argomentativo le risorse retoriche dell’ironia e del genere della commedia.
