REUSE AND LINGUISTIC RESEARCHES FOR DIACRITICAL MERGES RIUSO E RICERCHE LINGUISTICHE PER FUSIONI DIACRITICHE

The complex theme of monument’s functional update requests considerations directed to not degrade the historical, cultural and aesthetic values whom are messengers. While using the monument assures it a constant upkeep, the reutilization is often source of improper interventions: material conservation, additions stripping, gap integration, new additions for functional and normative updates are the elements of a unique system and must be together resolve, pursuing foremost the protection and valorization of the monument. The case that is intended to be presented, the reutilization of Palazzo San Giacomo in Russi (Ravenna), disused from years, encourage the discussion of all those themes since represent a wide case for the problems, which submit to whom must realize its valorization project. The rebuilt of an important part destroyed at the beginning of last Century, necessary to ensure vertical connections, almost missing, constitute the occasion for test new languages based on diacritic mergers, in reference to the volumes and the original characters whom have been found an eighteenth-century painting by A. Ioli.
