From the point of view of people who everyday go to prison to carry on the theatrical workshop, the experience of Prison Theatre keeps on living a situation of “strong vulnerability”, result of tenacity and stubbornness. The gravest difficulties come from the not given economical and professional reward to operators and from the difficulties inside the organisation of penal institute, that sometimes are overcome by the management and able and sensitive directors. This number of “Notebooks of Prison Theatre” shows the path started by Emilia Romagna Prison Theatre Coordination in three years of activity and gathers a broad statistic enquiry, interviews, critical opinions, theatre scripts written during the workshops in prison and a dossier of pictures edited in preview.
