The paper presents a DSP-controlled experimental set-up for the characterization of an autonomous APU (Auxiliary Power Unit) composed by a Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) fuel cell and a set of electrochemical batteries, both connected to a common AC bus through power electronic converters. The paper also shows a steady state model for the APU system. The model makes reference to a 4.8 kW commercial PEM fuel cell and its parameter values have been inferred from the experimental data.

Abstract
The paper presents a DSP-controlled experimental set-up for the characterization of an autonomous APU (Auxiliary Power Unit) composed by a Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) fuel cell and a set of electrochemical batteries, both connected to a common AC bus through power electronic converters. The paper also shows a steady state model for the APU system. The model makes reference to a 4.8 kW commercial PEM fuel cell and its parameter values have been inferred from the experimental data.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
