This paper investigates few minor new results regarding the computation of residual generator functions in order to realise for example complete diagnosis schemes in linear multivariable systems with additive faults and disturbances. The use of canonical input-output polynomial forms leads to characterise in a straightforward fashion the basis of the subspace described by all the possible residual generators. These tools show how the mathematical description of these filters can be obtained also by following a black-box identification approach.

Abstract
This paper investigates few minor new results regarding the computation of residual generator functions in order to realise for example complete diagnosis schemes in linear multivariable systems with additive faults and disturbances. The use of canonical input-output polynomial forms leads to characterise in a straightforward fashion the basis of the subspace described by all the possible residual generators. These tools show how the mathematical description of these filters can be obtained also by following a black-box identification approach.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
