X-ray Powder Diffraction (XRPD) experiments have been recorded at the MCX beamline on a series of copper nitroprusside cathode materials for Li rechargeable battery. Both pristine (using a capillary) and pellets samples (in a suitable electrochemical cell) have been recorded. In particular the operando experiment conducted on a battery has allowed monitoring the reflection lines during the intercalation/de-intercalation process of Li, and thus to evaluate the structural differences triggered by the electrochemical means. Overall, considering the novelty of this experiment set-up in the MCX beamline, we rate this experiment as successful.
