this work aims at developing a structured approach to link architectural analysis and development team organization for complex products. The intended contribution of this study is to formalize a methodology for the analysis and alignment of product and organizational architectures, by relying on the approaches already developed by the literature, introducing new concepts and new instruments, based on Social Network Analysis (SNA), and finally validating them through an empirical application. This empirical test was carried out for a new engine development project at one of the leading European carmaker: Ferrari Spa.
