The aim of this paper has been to provide an updated outline of our knowledge of the city of Burnum, located in the Roman province of Dalmatia. The interest in this area derives from my degree thesis, which gave me the opportunuity to summon up systematically the main scientific literature on town planning and monumental development of Roman Dalmatian cities. Recently, the attention paid to the city of Burnum was converted into a wider Italian- Croatian partnership project and ratified by an agreement (drawn up in August 2005) between the Civic Archaeological Museum of Driniä, the University of Zara and the Department of Archaeology of the University of Bologna.

Abstract
The aim of this paper has been to provide an updated outline of our knowledge of the city of Burnum, located in the Roman province of Dalmatia. The interest in this area derives from my degree thesis, which gave me the opportunuity to summon up systematically the main scientific literature on town planning and monumental development of Roman Dalmatian cities. Recently, the attention paid to the city of Burnum was converted into a wider Italian- Croatian partnership project and ratified by an agreement (drawn up in August 2005) between the Civic Archaeological Museum of Driniä, the University of Zara and the Department of Archaeology of the University of Bologna.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
