The knowledge of rotor quantities in induction motors allows the improvements of failure diagnosis and device design. The aim of this paper is to investigate the behaviour of the rotor quantities (in particular the bar currents) in presence of slip and to use this information for understanding the machine non-idealities. The analysis is carried out by means of a Finite Element (FE) approach, whose accuracy is evaluated by comparison with experiments.

Abstract
The knowledge of rotor quantities in induction motors allows the improvements of failure diagnosis and device design. The aim of this paper is to investigate the behaviour of the rotor quantities (in particular the bar currents) in presence of slip and to use this information for understanding the machine non-idealities. The analysis is carried out by means of a Finite Element (FE) approach, whose accuracy is evaluated by comparison with experiments.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
