To date no National Energy Program (NEP) exists in Italy.Since 1998 (so called “Bassanini law”), Italian Regions are allowed to conceive, elaborate and issue their respective Regional Energy Plans (REP’s). The State would retain the power of addressing the National energy policy, by: 1. setting out the strategic milestones at nation’s scale 2. harmonizing the various REP’s.
