Abstract

Among the methods used for digitizing the built heritage, today a primary role is played by digital photogrammetry. Recent developments make it a fast and effective technique to create photo-realistic models, metrically reliable and highly detailed, competitive with laser scanning systems but operating with cheaper equipment. These advantages caused a widespread and extensive use of photo-modelling for Cultural Heritage documentation. The prerogatives of survey using digital photogrammetry are discussed in short in this paper with a specific case study
