The aim of this paper is to present some 3D numerical results regarding the axial power distribution induced in an aluminium billet rotating in a DC magnetic field. In the paper, the continuous magnetic field is supposed to be produced by means of a simple rectangular shape inductor coils fed by DC current. The analysis is performed assuming as varying parameters the height of the inductor and the rotating speed of the billet. This work is a part of the activity developed in the frame of a National Italian Project carried out by research groups of the Universities of Bologna, Padua and Roma "La Sapienza".
