The current study examines the findings of an empirical research which investigates how the care work in nurseries is perceived by nursery school teachers. The thoughts expressed by these teachers in situation of “focus group” and interviews, are orientated in multiple directions and present various intensities and explanations. Some of the relevant themes that emerged as strongly related to this complex issue of care work in education are: the nursery school teachers’ perception of their own working and educational role and the relationships with the team workers (colleagues), with the children and with the parents.
