In this paper, a novel technique for inferring the state of wire-wound motor supplied through PWM inverters is presented. An analysis of the correlation between partial discharge events and line-to-ground voltages at motor terminals is carried out exploiting the dq (or Park) transform. Preliminary results indicate that useful information concerning partial discharge activity and its severity can be achieved by this approach. Moreover, this technique can be used also to filter out measurement noise.

Abstract
In this paper, a novel technique for inferring the state of wire-wound motor supplied through PWM inverters is presented. An analysis of the correlation between partial discharge events and line-to-ground voltages at motor terminals is carried out exploiting the dq (or Park) transform. Preliminary results indicate that useful information concerning partial discharge activity and its severity can be achieved by this approach. Moreover, this technique can be used also to filter out measurement noise.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
