1,2,4-Triferrocenylbenzene was isolated and fully characterized for the first time. It was obtained, together with 1,3,5-triferrocenylbenzene, by cyclotrimerization reaction, catalyzed either by metalloporphyrins or cobaltocene. the latter catalyst gave better results. The isomerically different triferrocenylbenzene exhibit different properties.
