The recent evolution of feline parvoviruses of cats was investigated. Eighteen viral isolates from clinical samples of diseased cats collected between 2000-2004 were examined. Antigenically typing was carried out using monoclonal antibodies C1D1, A4E3 and B2G11. Seventeen strains were feline panleukopenia virus (FPV)-like viruses, one was canine parvovirus CPV-2 new type (2a or 2b). Phylogenetic analysis of the VP2 gene sequences of 9 isolates showed that the FPV strains are homogeneous without the emergence of possible antigenic types. One strain showed intermediate features between FPV and CPV-2.

Abstract
One strain showed intermediate features between FPV and CPV-2.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
