Our paper deals with the analysis of hybrid composite materials. Hybridization is a process of incorporating two or more types of fiber of varying properties, e.g. synthetic fibers with those of natural fibers or exclusively natural or synthetic mixed, in order to yield better strength, stiffness, high strength to weight ratio and other mechanical properties. This paper concerns with the development of new hybrid composite materials using basalt and carbon fibers, together with flax. Based on the physical, chemical and mechanical properties of the selected materials, the required fibers and resins are chosen properly. The research will present the mechanical properties of the above mentioned eco-friendly and bio-degradable composites and the best possible applications of these composite materials.

Abstract
Our paper deals with the analysis of hybrid composite materials. Hybridization is a process of incorporating two or more types of fiber of varying properties, e.g. synthetic fibers with those of natural fibers or exclusively natural or synthetic mixed, in order to yield better strength, stiffness, high strength to weight ratio and other mechanical properties. This paper concerns with the development of new hybrid composite materials using basalt and carbon fibers, together with flax. Based on the physical, chemical and mechanical properties of the selected materials, the required fibers and resins are chosen properly. The research will present the mechanical properties of the above mentioned eco-friendly and bio-degradable composites and the best possible applications of these composite materials.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
