The recent critical edition of Paisajes después de la batalla (Landscapes after the Battle), prepared by Bénédicte Vauthier, has offered new useful data to understand Juan Goytisolo’s complex writing process, through the study of the novel’s genetic documentation and variants. This short note focuses on the modifications of two sequences, “Del burgo a la Medina” and “A ella”, interpreting them according to the autobiographical implications of the author’s corpus.
