This deliverable introduces a working definition of Scaling Up and overviews extant literature on this topic. It then describes the three main elements of the MyN Scaling Up Model and Framework, namely Dynamics, Strategies and Configurations, providing relevant examples taken from European as well as non-European Cities. The above analysis has the purpose of providing some guidelines for the MyN pilot cities in order to ensure the scalability of their newly developed Human Smart City services. In the next project stage, these guidelines will be implemented in the pilots to verify the potential for replication, transfer and combination of the services in the framework of realistic business models.
