The project is one of the activities organized by the Museo del Balì focused on the figures of Galileo Galilei and Guidobaldo del Monte. The activties are part of the Museo del Balì's initiatives aimed at rediscovering scientists in the local Marche region. Guidobaldo del Monte, who mainly lived and worked in the Pesaro area, held Galileo in high esteem and was involved in exchanging ideas and views with him. The project is thus strongly rooted in the local area but also addresses some of the themes associated with the "International Year of Astronomy" in 2009.
