We present B2 0924+30, associated with the luminous E/S0 galaxy IC2476, which may be considered a prototypical relic galaxy. The spectral index distribution has been analysed in order to determine the characteristics break frequency of the synchrotron emission and corresponding particle ages, assuming that synchrotron and inverse Compton losses are at work. The results show that in the central part of the source the particle age is about 90 Myrs, and away from the centre is about 26 Myrs, the corresponding particle advance speed is of the order of 2000 km/s.
