The results of an experimental campaign on bond performance of steel bars placed into steel boxes, filled with high performance mortar, are presented. Steel boxes are inserted into concrete slabs as part of the foundation element of a precast system. Different anchorage lengths were investigated. Results were used to calibrate a simple relation to design minimum anchorage length.
