“Water sustainable management: the istitutional role of the University” Abstract With the creation of Basin Authorities the framework law number 183 of 1989 presents the innovative feature of placing different aspects of water management within the natural boundaries of a watershed, liking hydrogeological risk prevention, water pollution prevention and water resources consumption. However, the institutional entities involved in water resources management and planning are many; among the mains we recall: land reclamation consortiums, the “Canale Emiliano Romagnolo” Consortium, the Regional Agencies for pollution Prevention and Environment (ARPA), Municipalities, Provincial Councils and Regional Councils through their competent councillorships. The Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Bologna, within its purposes, has been leading experimental and research activities in the environmental and hydrological field, so it is possible to assess that it is mutual interest to collaborate for an optimization of the resources and, further on, to compare the obtained results. These goals have been pursued by some research groups of the Faculty of Agriculture, however they demand a common effort either to will collaboration, either to address the research also towards applied finalities. Within this cooperative spirit, the Experimental Centre for the Study and the Analysis of Soil, part of the DISTA, and the DEIAGRA, both Departments of the Faculty of Agriculture, have various on-going agreements, whose goals and attained results will be briefly presented: - Agreement with Reno Basin Authority: “River-flow and suspended sediment transport experimental measurement in the main streams of the Reno Watershed” - Agreement with ARPA: “Study of the factors related to the presence of pollutants and nutrients in turbid river waters” - Agreement with the “Canale Emiliano-Romagnolo” consortium: “Hydro-turbidimetric study of data collected at the Volta Scirocco monitoring site, river Reno, and estimate of outflows” - Agreement with the Castenaso Municipality and Hera Imola-Faenza Company, within the MIUR-MIPAF project: “Wastewater quality optimization for irrigation purposes, for soil’s protection and for water resources’s multiple use ”.

Abstract
Within this cooperative spirit, the Experimental Centre for the Study and the Analysis of Soil, part of the DISTA, and the DEIAGRA, both Departments of the Faculty of Agriculture, have various on-going agreements, whose goals and attained results will be briefly presented: - Agreement with Reno Basin Authority: “River-flow and suspended sediment transport experimental measurement in the main streams of the Reno Watershed” - Agreement with ARPA: “Study of the factors related to the presence of pollutants and nutrients in turbid river waters” - Agreement with the “Canale Emiliano-Romagnolo” consortium: “Hydro-turbidimetric study of data collected at the Volta Scirocco monitoring site, river Reno, and estimate of outflows” - Agreement with the Castenaso Municipality and Hera Imola-Faenza Company, within the MIUR-MIPAF project: “Wastewater quality optimization for irrigation purposes, for soil’s protection and for water resources’s multiple use ”.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
