The unsatisfactory performance experienced by TCP transport protocol over both satellite and terrestrial wireless channel has led the scientific community to propose novel solutions in terms of both enhanced protocols and architectures. To perform a thorough assessment of such proposals, University of Bologna (UoB) and National Inter-University Consortium for Telecommunications (CNIT) have conceived and set-up the integrated testbed presented in this work. Its features are illustrated in detail, by focusing in particular on the advantages offered by the testbed web interface, specifically designed to provide a ubiquitous remote control of the testbed through Internet. The testbed description is completed by the presentation of some significant application examples, taken from the authors’ research activity on this field.

Abstract
The testbed description is completed by the presentation of some significant application examples, taken from the authors’ research activity on this field.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
